Killing time again: featuring a brief public statement.

My cable is out and I am really not happy about that.

What did the elephant say to the naked man? How in the hell do you breathe out of that thing?

Anybody own a bad motor scooter? (Check out the Montrose video w/Sammy Hagar on the sidebar).

Today I felt pretty good despite my health. I have cancer, Hodgkin's Lymphoma to be exact. I just found out on Monday. I've been rather poorly for almost two months. Thought I'd slip that one in instead of making a big deal out of it here. I debated whether I should announce that here this soon. I will find out next week what stage it is in and begin my treatment. I will do a proper post on this later when I have more information regarding my disease. I didn't want to let the remainder of you hang any longer.

I've got to write this paragraph to conceal the prior one. I figure that casual visitors will just blow past the other paragraph. More to come.

Anyway, I am just happy to be here, alive, and just a jaunt through hell back to well.

I dun wanna believe that but guess I have to. I was not very happy after reading that line. I felt everything I love and everyone I care abt ALWAYS seem to suffer in some manner.

Im now leaving this blog in a heart-broken state. I dunno wut else to say...I really dun...

u r being so positive..which is great...I wish I was there to be by ur side while u go thru all the treatment.

I have this half formed notion of the man replying to the elephant something like: "I wish mine was closer to my eyes so I could see it better."

I know that line needs work but you get the idea.

Lots of prayers for you, baby.

I'll be there for you in any reality we can dream up... even the real one.

Don't keep us hanging, babes... when you find out more about your progression and treatment options, please let us know. Or at least email me.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again and again... I love you, Sweetie. You're in my thoughts 800 times a day. ... and more. (GIANT HUGE SQUISHY HUGS)

I'm very happy that you've still been feeling pretty good despite the news. I'm always here for you.

You know, I saw a Discovery Channel show on elephants and they appear to actually have TWO trunks (almost the same size, too!) especially during mating season. So I'd like to know what the elephant would say if he met the man during mating season when he had a "new direction". hahahaheeheeha!

Grunty_ this is from the mayo clinic, I know nothing about this Cancer and so I googled it! I am heartsick for you, but know I am here to support you too.

"Maintain a strong support system. Having a support system and a positive attitude can help you cope with any issues, pain and anxieties that might occur. Although friends and family can be your best allies, they sometimes may have trouble dealing with your illness. If so, the concern and understanding of a formal support group or others coping with cancer can be especially helpful.

Although support groups aren't for everyone, they can be a good source for practical information. You may also find you develop deep and lasting bonds with people who are going through the same things you are."

will you e-mail me personnally ? I would like to send you a real handmade card. my way of sending love through the mail. tamara at the crandalls. org strung all together. Sending good vibes to you . QT

Buddy, lymphoma's got nothing on you! You're gonna kick ass!!

Come on over to my sites we are usually having a bit of a laugh and we'll try and keep you positive.

Take it easy mate!!

Hey Grunt, Jules sent me :-)

Sending you happy thoughts, and will keep you in my thoughts until you beat this hodgkins into the dirt as it deserves to be beaten.

I'll leave squishy hugs to Jules, but I'll send you a joke or two if you need a good laugh.

And while Jules is on vacation, her readers will be hanging out here so we can update her when she returns.

Wow! I am overwhelmed by all of your support.

Crystal~ Yes, you may snap into my Slim Jim. Spicy!

Revree~ Thanks for the mmuuaahhs. I need every one I can get. I'll take the fozen Snicker's bars as well:) Alcohol and Grunty don't mix.

Paul~ Well, it was because of a nurse named Becky that I got into this prestigious cancer institute, period. Becky was the one more than anybody at my doc's office that had been by my side through this ongoing ordeal.

Kels~ You are always there for me even if I go into hiding for a bit. That would be enough to piss some people off. Thanks for the prayers.

Guggs~ My mate!!! I know you drop in and out of blog land, and whenever you find time to drop by here I really enjoy it. Thanks!

Serena~ I am so glad that your mom survived lymphoma. My mom had the Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and beat it as well. The knowledge of the family history was what really got things pointed in the right direction with me.

Keshi~ Ooh, now I have Mama Kesh on my side. I can feel you two rooting for me.

QT~ That is some really helpful information. I will definitely shoot you an email soon.

Celeste~ Put all your chips on me and you will hit jackpot.

Ebezp~ Thanks for coming over here! I will definitely drop by your blog and see what's happening. I used to keep this place humming a bit better, but at least it still runs.

Though Lovers...~ I give you a warm Gruntonian welcome! I like jokes, so hit me with them anytime. Oh, and thanks for thinking of me.

I too am a Jules groupie... shere she goes, I go... where her hopes for a speedy recovery go, so do mine... where her prayers that you feel better, have the strength to beat this f*cker called hodgkins go, so do mine!

As I told Jules, you will have lots of hugs, prayers and good wishes - including mine.

Random Thinker~ Thanks for your loyalty, via Jules. I met Jules at the start of her blog and she has gone from ghost town to community in no time. I'm glad that her community is coming to my aide. I need people like you on my side.

Denise~ Thanks for the support. I know I can beat this. I'm just trying to get geared up for the treatment and work out the expenses. I am happy to hear that your father has beat cancer twice.

Logo~ I wouldn't have you any other way.

Thomas~ Well, just drop by and keep me company. Let me know when you visit by leaving me a comment. Hell, you left a comment on my blog way before all of my other readers. I think that counts for some kind of award, my friend. Viva la Tom Delay blog!

Cora~ I will never ever refuse baked goods or other like treats. You are a saint.
