When G.I. Joes come alive

I can't believe it! My childhood wish finally came true and now look what happened. Dammit. I swear, I would punish them for killing an innocent prairie dog, but just look at their arsenal! How am I, a man of peace, to compete with that? Anyway, I have seen them over at Barbie's Play House having wild parties with even wilder women. Well, at least Barbie Dolls are less plastic than some of the women in L.A. nowadays. I think I saw the Joe on the left scratching his crotch vigorously today. Real life ain't always what it's cracked up to be, bub. Now you'll have to go down to the free clinic and have that thing checked out.

What silly childhood toy wishes/fantasies have you all had?

Oh, the movie the last post was about was "Dracula" with Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula. The character pictured was that of Renfield, the dude that Dracula enslaved and eventually went crazy. Dwight Frye played Renfield, and that particular moment from the film is where the ghost ship comes to the dock and the porters find all the dead crew. They open up the bay doors to the hull and find the lone survivor, Renfield, laughing maniacally. It is awesome! Renfield is promptly taken to an insane asylum after that. Alice Cooper did an epic song called "The Ballad of Dwight Frye" and it is totally demented. I am not sure how much of what Alice sang about Dwight is factual, but if it is, the dude was psychotic.

I also added some cool new side bar scroll down menus. If you haven't checked out the latest Youtube on my sidebar, do. I will be changing it soon.

Those GI Joes are out of control.

Wasn't it the tiniest bit gruesome positioning the funboys???

I always wanted to drive THUNDERBIRD 2. I know it was just a cargo type of ship, but it always felt like the one for me. Later on I traded it in for an X-wing fighter. Now I just want to cruise with Lady Penelope.

Woah, that's wayyyyy too freaky because I dreamed a dream just like this whole post last night! Except one of the GI Joes didn't end up with crabs. Wooooooo.... you're freakin' me out!

And I was just talking about G.I. Joe and Barbie last night with a friend! How strange!

I always wanted to fit my Barbies into my bro's Tyco Turbo Hopper and take them mudding but they didn't fit. :( The silly pink corvette just didn't do it for me, even if it was remote control!

I liked to think that my toys came alive while I slept and had some wicked parties.

well I had this one fantasy...I was abt 5 or 6yrs old then...I wanted to marry my dad's friend who was abt 35 then. LOL! One other fantasy...I thought fairies were for real and that they lived inside flower petals. I wanted to talk to em someday.

I love the picture. It's truly twisted.

I don't like that you didn't mention that I knew that was dracula!

And furthermore, your sidebars make me quiver all over with unfettered joy.

Dear Mr. Grunt Man,

As soon as I looked at this picture, I had a quick moment of flashbacks...

...The flashbacks brought me back to [insert correct year here], when the movie Toy Story came out.

[insert useless blah, blah, blah here]

Images like the one posted is exactly why Toy Story scared me... I mean, I was fine while watching the movie-- and the thought that toys came alive while no one was watching didnt bother me... but not knowing WHAT they did while no one was watching- now THAT is what scared me :(

***

About G.I. Joes... I used to have some of those with the parachutes that Scott was talking about... good times...

Nessa~ Yes, and now they have a curfew.

NYD~ Thunderbirds are go!

Pants~ There's still time to rule the world. Need a sexy intern? I think I have a blue suit.

Eve~ Thanks, and welcome to Grunt Ahoy! I will check out your blog as soon as I can.

Egan~ I likey your caption.

Scary Monster~ Welcome to Grunt Ahoy! You can live it loca here for sure. Watch out for power lines.

Jules~ How many dreams have I been featured in so far? Cool.

O-Girl~ Your Barbies wanted to get dirty, heh-heh!

Christielli~ Yeah, mine had epic parties, and still, they don't invite us. What's up with that?

Keshi~ I dunno, fairies could be real. If I find some I will be on a plane to Aussie land to share my fairies with you. Okay, that all sounded really weird, but it was all coming from a good place. Honest!

Cindra~ Thanks. Yes, you did get the closest out of everyone. You are the winner of some Grunt memorabilia. I don't know what that would be, but I hope you feel like a winner, 'cause that's what you are!

Scott~ Yeah, that's a good guy to be, too.

"K"~ If it was Toy Story, then you are still a youthful girl--no need to hide your age. I am 94. You don't see me letting that get in the way of awesomeness, do you?

Anonymous~ I think I will leave your boner making add up on my site. Although, I have found that just falling asleep and waking up produces the finest trouser trophies. The problem is fitting in the fun while having an enormous urge to urinate for ten minutes. Seen Austin Powers? Of course you have, Anonymous, you are everywhere these days. Especially on my damn blog.

Celeste~ I have seen your brothers from your blog and you all seem to have fun, so I can easily picture the G.I. Joe stuff going on.

Mayden~ Okay, the jig is up. I didn't take the picture, but I can't say who did. Anonymity is in effect here.

Keshi~ Aw^10! Thanks back.

Sun~ I knew there was a purpose for this post. Your nephews will always remember their auntie "Rubber Soul". I was listening to Rubber Soul today and Revolver. I love it!

Lindzy~ Good thing this was the second thing you saw on my blog. BTW, I think the prairie dog was just napping, k?

That's some funny shit. Though I never understood why there was a ninja in G.I. Joe. I guess no assault unit is complete without one.

JJ~ Ninjas must have a good union, me thinks.
