(Belated) TIGF!!! (That's Incredibly Gay Friday): There's a party going on...

...a mouse party! These little shits have taken over the damn place. I have not been in the spirit to do a festive TIGF!!!, which is what I planned, and now am faced with two consecutive TIGF!!!'s in the bad way. I did not intend TIGF!!! to become a complaint department, but these damn mice are unruly. I found the most probable entry point. My landlord put in new air conditioning this spring but did not seal up the places where new lines come through the structure. I am in no mood to wait for my dippy landlubber lord to get off his fat ass and so a half-assed job of sealing these holes up. I am going to do it myself, then bill him.

As for the mice, one did manage to escape a trap. Smart little fur ball, what in the hell, you know? I guess I will get more traps and keep setting them up. I was going to get some poison, but the thought of them dying somewhere I can't find, but can smell them, is not appealing at all. I'm not ready to call Terminix just yet, but I have highlighted their name in the yellow pages.

The mice are TIGF!!! in the bad way and are preventing me from doing a proper TIGF!!! in the festive way. What do all y'all have to say about vermin? I want to know. I think later on tonight I will get out a pogo stick and see if I can smash any of these little shits.

You need the holy hand grenade of Antioch.

We had a couple of mice back at the farm... we knew it was out of hand when the bold little buggers started fighting us, tug-of-war style, for the chicken wings on our plate. That's when we brought in Sax, our siamese enforcer, for a stay in the house.

I hear they're mighty tasty when slow roasted over a spit fire. Lemme know when you've got em all and I'll come down for some BBQ. Ugh. I might have just vomitted a little bit.

2 memories...neither good-
then I'm off to bed-
1) A mouse got caught in a trap- but didn't die...he just squirmed and cried with his neck in the pinch...ugh- it was awful. Dad had to dispose of him. I freaked out.

2) Mouse ate poison and DIED in a pile of stuffed animals in the corner of my room. The DEATH smell was un real-
and I know it by heart unto this day.
I KNOW when a critter has died in the garage (usually a half eaten chipmunk or mole...left by the cats!)

Block up holes with those stainless steel-type brillo pads or buy the industrial type from a hardware store. The lil buggers can't chew through it.
Only way to get rid of the current residents is to borrow a cat...or a dog...or possibly a ferret...rabbits are no good...drop bears might scare them to death ;)

Logo~ Yes, do you know where I could get my hands on such a thing? Please don't tell me I have to go on some kind of fantastic journey. I just am not in the mood for it right now.

Somewhere Joe~ Having a cat does seem like the way to go, but what do I do with it after the mice are gone. I am not ready to own a cat--maybe rent one. Welcome to Grunt Ahoy!

Jules~ Do you do a dry rub or wet style BBQ on yer varmints?

Cora~ Yeah, that is why I don't do the poison. I like to know where the carcass is.

Bugs~ I will definitely use some steel wool. Thanks for the tip and welcome to Grunt Ahoy!

Peanut butter. They love peanut butter.

Get a cat!

If you wanna kill 2 mice with 1 cheese(and be dangerous in a good way to your taste buds)try the Red Chilli cheese, proven to put hairs on your chesticals and guaranteed to curl your whiskers ;)

But yeah what cindra said -peanut butter for baiting traps.Do you have those "humane" traps that catch the critters alive,so you can sing the Born Free theme whilst springing their release in your local park or unsuspecting ex's laundry room?

Hey Grunt...I'll rent Lucy to you if you need a cat. Though I don't know exactly how helpful she will be. She's more of the prissy type rather than a brutal killer. She may make even more noise chasing the mice and playing with them.

It's still the thought that counts, right?

Fuck it! Call Terminix! I can't abide the thought of hidden mousie cadavers lurking in the house OR disposing of broken carcasses - just make the call and bill your landlord for that.

It is amazing how such small cute little buggers can disturb the peace. Go get 'em, cowboy.

Traps are best, with peanut better from what I remember. They hate cheese so all those cartoons were just mouseist propaganda to throw us off the scent.
Evil little buggers - mice that is.

Cindra~ I keep getting out the peanut butter and end up making me a sandwich instead. D'oh!

Bugs~ Born Free? That would be a nice touch. I might try that. Keep giving me cheese links.

Joe~ ROTFLMAO!

O-Girl~ I'll take your feline so long as you deliver it to me personally.

Oh, come on now people! I am a respectable man. Gosh!

Karyn~ That is a great idea. I might try a Daisy BB-gun as well. I got to have some fun.

Nessa~ I like it when you call me cowboy. You and someone else here call me that. Can you guess who?

T.R. Grunt~ Peanut butter can't be stolen whole like cheese, either. Great advice.

If the traps don't kill the mice, their high fat diet will !

Or you could take them in your hand luggage when you do your next world trip

Or tell your freeloaders just how ancient they really are

HA! I just read your comment. Of course...a personal delivery is to be expected, right?

But remember...this is only a rental.
