Dedicated To My Loyal Blogmates

You've got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.
You've got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.

You make my world seem right,
You make my darkness bright, oh yes,
You've got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.
And I like it.

And I like the way you kiss me (with comments),
Don't know if I should (write what's in my sick head).
But this feeling is love (love you guys), and I know it,
That's why I feel good.

You've got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.
You've got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.

You make my world seem right,
You make my darkness bright, oh yes,
You've got this strange effect on me,
And I like it.
And I like it.
And I like it.

"Strange Effect" written by Ray Davies (The Kinks--best group ever) with words in parenthesis by The Grunt.

Come on now and give us a kiss!

Chronologically I feel miles away from old; sometimes my body betrays me however.

Consider me one of your loyal fans.

Peace,
"Guggs"

(I do not mind being called it - if pronounced properly, i.e., Gooogs)

The Grunt said...

Gooogs! Yeah, that's the pronunciation I had in mind.

Cheers mate!

somebody must be on their period.

Awwwww, sentiment is always better when it comes from a Kinks song.

Crystal: LOL at your comment

Grunt: I had to "buy" that song now.

The Grunt said...

Yes it does, Logo.

Crystal: Am I having a period? What's happening to me? Somebody quick, call Aquaman!

The Grunt said...

Wow, this is happening too fast for me to respond to.

Guuuuuuugs! I hope you like it.

I know I'm breaking some kind of blogger etiquette by commenting too often on my own posts, but what the hey.

Vera, this could either be a good or bad thing. The next step is becoming a Gruntologist. Catch my Gruntology? I'm hoping that I can lure Katy Holmes and Isaac Hayes away. They can have Tom Cruise and John Travolta.

Maybe someday I'll have enough comfort to e-splain my hizzy tory to y'alls. Of course, it would all done in interpretive dance.

Great H and S! My word verification thingy is: gugel.

The drought is over!

I used to equate how popular my posts are based on the number of comments I had. Now I don't. If that happened again, I'd feel rather inadequate. I take comfort in the fact that damn, I've got some writing skillz to work with.

Like this witty thing called your blog dude.

Hi, Maura. I hope I don't cause your test scores to go down. It's good to hear from you, btw.

Yeah, I don't know how it all happened Maura, but I know that the blogger world is a harsh mistress that can giveth and taketh away at will. So, I just roll with it and am grateful that I can at least amuse, provoke, and inspire at least a handful of people. You can say that you came here at the beginning, at least. I think that might get you a free frosty at Wendy's;)
