God is everywhere, even under the sink

Where is the most unusual place that you've found God? I once found God hiding in a cupboard. Frankly, it scared the hell out of me. But I just had to stand back and say, "Oh, God". What a prankster.

There was a time that I found God in the supermarket. Really. BTW, God brings his own reusable shopping bags.

The last time I found God was at an art gallery. He was looking intently at a painting depicting human suffering. I looked at the painting and then up at him, without first recognizing him. His eyes met mine with some surprise and then awkwardness. He turned away and walked towards the back of the exhibit. I never got to ask him why. WHY GOD? WHY??? Why is there so much bad art in the world?

Forgive me.

I like this post.

I sometimes think God is playing little tricks on me when something ridiculous happens... like when I got sent off to a conference with my boss (DJ Prince... yes, my principal's a DJ). That was fun. I bet God's sides were splitting.

Bad art exists everywhere just to test us to see if we're capable of being tolerant of weirdness. After all, the world just keeps getting weirder and weirder. It's a measurement of how successful it will be if the world gets to be as weird as the art placed in front of us... how will we react?

Just a theory...

Christielli~ I'm glad you liked this post. Most would see me taking the subject of God, and using it as a way of finding humor in the absurdities of life, as being sacrilegious. But you have been to my world, taken the tour, and seen that I don't take "it" with fruit punch. That doesn't mean that I ruin it for everyone else.

Jules~ That is good a way of looking at it. I certainly didn't think of that when I was writing the post. I guess I still need you around here, pointing stuff out to me:-)
